The Way and the Door to Heaven!

-written by Dr. Kevin Wynne

Years ago I was talking to a very kind lady that wanted to get saved. I asked her if she was 100% sure that she would go to heaven when she died, and she told me that she had attended many churches and religions and was confused because she didn’t know which of those was the door to heaven. I kindly explained to her, no church or religion is the way to heaven. Through the years I have met many people like her, that sincerely are seeking the way to heaven.

This is what the Bible says:

1. The way to heaven and God is closed because of sin.

Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Romans 3:20 “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”

2. Sin takes us another way.

Proverbs 16:25 “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.”

Nobody goes to the doctor until he understands that he is ill; in the same way, nobody can come to Christ until he understands and admits that he is a sinner and is condemned.

Luke 5:31-32 “And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

3. Jesus Christ is the door and the way to heaven; not a religion or the good deeds we do.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

John 10:9 “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved...”

Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Galatians 2:16 “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”

4. Receive Jesus Christ as your Savior.

Romans 10:9-10 “...if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. You can pray this prayer:
Dear Jesus, I confess before you that I am a sinner, condemned by my sin. Please forgive my sins and save me. I don’t want to go to hell. I receive you as my only Savior. I accept your gift of eternal life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

I John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life…

Now that you accepted Christ as Savior, you need to begin to attend a church and learn more about Him and how to have a victorious life.

John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
